INTRODUCTION TO MOUNTAIN BIKING

 

Level 1   1 day 4 hours total $125

This program is focused on adults getting started with mountain biking that want to hone their skills and build their confidence when they ride on the trails. The goal is to help you develop a wider range of skills to keep you safe and having fun on the trails.

  • Learn some basic on trial bike maintenance skills
  • Essential tools and safety
  • Proper trail etiquette
  • Bike set up
  • Body Position and how it interacts with the bike
  • Braking techniques
  • Cornering techniques
  • Terrain awareness

 

Level 2  2 days 4 hours each – 8 hours total $195

This session builds on the Level 1 session enabling you to learn some more essential skills for mountain biking. Our aim is to give you more time and instruction to really get things dialed for your next ride with your friends.

  • Understanding gearing and hills
  • Front wheel lifts to help overcome obstacles
  • Importance of bike body separation
  • Roll downs and roots
  • Bumps and berms

ENDURO MOUNTAIN BIKING 

 

Level 1   1 day 4 hours total $125

This program is focused on intermediate adults with mountain biking skills that want to hone their enduro mountain biking skills and build their confidence while ripping down some sweet mountain single track. The goal is to help you develop a wider range of skills to keep you safe and having fun on the trails.

  • Start the day off with some basic bike maintenance.
  • Essential tools and safety
  • Proper trail etiquette
  • Bike set up
  • Body Position and how it interacts with the bike
  • Braking techniques
  • Cornering techniques
  • Terrain awareness

 

Level 2    2 days 4 hours each – 8 hours total $195

This session builds on the Level 1 session enabling you to learn some more essential skills for mountain biking. Our aim is to give you more time and instruction to really get things dialed for you next ride with your friends.

  • Advanced braking
  • Advanced cornering techniques
  • Pumping and jumping
  • Drops, roll downs and roots
  • Offering different levels to properly suit your needs as a rider.

CYCLOCROSS SKILLS TRAINING CLINICS

Clinics run 5 hours $100

Is the sport of Cyclocross something you love and enjoy or something you’ve always wanted to get into? Well this clinic may be for you! a typical clinic starts off with a bike check and setup. Spend the day having fun with friends and honing your CX racing skills. We start off covering the fundamental skills and clothing for Cyclocross. then move into demonstrating and practicing each of these skills: Shouldering, Dismount & Remount, Looking ahead, Carrying speed & Momentum, Bunny Hop, Sliding, Attacking the trail, Smooth riding, Line Choice, Climbing and Breathing. We will then put it all together on the trails and grass as well as a mini race, where we can really see everything in action. It is recommended to have some Cyclocross experience but not required.

STREET SMARTS COMMUTER CYCLING SKILLS PROGRAMS

 

Level 1 Novice 1 day 4 hours $60

Level 2 Advanced 1 day 4 hours $60

 

Are you and adult wanting to feel comfortable riding your bike on the roadways and understand your bike better?? Learn to become a Street-Smart cyclist and gain confidence riding in traffic. The day will start with introduction, then move into rules and regs of the road, common cycling routes, rider visibility and safety, road positioning, traffic lights, proper bike set up, effective bike handling, proper braking, understanding your gears. Gain confidence through cycling activities and have fun. This clinic will be outside for the duration. We will be going on a 5-10 km ride on the roads to help explain our roles as cyclists on them.

 

All participants must have a certified biking helmet, full functioning bike with lights and basic riding skills.  Bring snacks, water and weather appropriate clothing. (This workshop will be done rain or shine)
